RECOGNITION AND PRESTIGE

 
 

International markets are falling in love with the value, in the sense of a quality product at the right price, that we offer. By 2005 exports already accounted for 40% of the wine sold by the DO Montsant. However, the year 2005 was marked in particular by spectacular growth in sales of our wines in Europe, America and Asia. Just one figure: while in 2003 the DO Montsant exported 3,316 hectolitres of wine to European Union countries, in 2005 the figure was 15,490. Exports to EU countries have therefore risen nearly five times in two years. As regards the American market, 234,000 bottles were exported. There was also a significant increase in Asia (53% in two years) and in the Scandinavian countries (nearly 50% in two years).
